AI is looking for jobs — for you
Plus our AI story of the week.
Hello readers,
Welcome to the AI For All newsletter! Today, we’re looking at how AI is taking a bigger and bigger role in finding for new jobs for humans, for now. That, our AI story of the week, and more!
AI in Action: Finding your next job

There’s no shortage of worries that AI is coming for all our jobs when (or if) AGI ever arrives. But in the meantime, AI is increasingly stepping into the role of career coach, helping people find new jobs—even (or especially) when they’re not sure what comes next.
Google’s Career Dreamer lets users build a “career identity statement” that includes their current job, skills, and interests, then suggests alternative career paths based on that input. Each suggestion includes key job details like education requirements, salary info, and relevant openings, along with the option to generate résumés and cover letters through Google’s Gemini AI.
LinkedIn’s Next Role Explorer, available through its Learning Hub, uses AI to identify internal opportunities within a company, recommend upskilling paths, and track employee progress toward role transitions.
Salesforce’s Career Connect, integrated into Slack, similarly guides employees toward roles they’re qualified for or close to qualifying for. And it’s led to good results so far, as Fast Company reports:
Ninety-one percent of the roles that were filled went to participants in the Career Connect pilot program who discovered those opportunities through the tool. During the three-month trial, 28% of participants applied for jobs via the platform.
Rather than replacing jobs, these AI tools aim to help people navigate the evolving job market more efficiently. By surfacing relevant opportunities, matching transferable skills, and automating application prep, AI is making career shifts more accessible and data-driven.
For now.
